The wait is over. The new changes in game balance are now in the game. You can find the full details for these changes, including changes in parameters and prices in the special wiki page called Global update of game balance for Tanki Online.
Here’s a summary of what you can expect to find when you log into the game:
30% sale on supplies and 50% additional battle funds
As promised in the past few V-LOGs, this update brings with it 4 days of 30% discount on supplies, and 50% additional battle funds. The sale and additional battle funds will be in the game till Monday 24th at 02:00 UTC.
Changes in Turrets, Hulls and respective Micro-Upgrades and Alterations
Turrets and Hulls, and their respective Micro-Upgrades and Alterations will undergo numerous changes in their parameters.
- Turrets — Updates on all modifications (see wiki)
- Hulls — Updates on all modifications (see wiki)
- Alterations — Changes to reflect the changes in turret parameters (see wiki)
Furthermore, all M3 equipment will become available from the rank of Marshal.
NOTE: Don’t worry. If you’re not yet a Marshal, but already own a piece of M3 equipment purchased before the update, this equipment will remain in your garage and you will still be able to use it.
Changes in equipment prices
The changes in rank requirements for equipment have also affected equipment prices in various ways. Some turrets and hulls will go down in price, while others will go up. This applies to M3 turrets and hulls, as well as micro-upgrade prices for M2 and M3 level equipment (see wiki).
Changes in Alterations
Existing Alterations will also undergo some changes in their parameters to reflect the changes in their respective turrets (see wiki).
Changes in Kits
M3 kits both in the garage and the shop will become available from Lieutenant General. Their prices will change to reflect the price changes in the equipment they contain.
Changes in Supplies
The cooldown on Double Damage, Double Armor, and Acceleration supplies will be reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds. Additionally, and Double Damage, Double Armor, and Acceleration will last for 40 seconds, and Acceleration will give your tank a 40% speed-up.
The cooldown for Mines has been increased from 20 seconds to 40 seconds. However, the cooldown between Mines and Repair Kits has been removed. This means you can plant a Mine and use a Repair Kit immediately afterwards, or vice versa.
Additional features
Self-destruct function
The self-destruct time has been reduced from 10 seconds to 5 seconds so you don’t have to wait too long to get back into battle.
Equipment change in battle
The minimum waiting time between equipment changes in battle has been increased from 1 minute to 5 minutes.
Show damage
When in battle, you will be able to see the amount of damage you are dealing to your enemies. This will be displayed as a small number on top of the enemy’s tank, and will represent how many HP of damage your shot has inflicted.
This feature can be toggled on and off in the setup page.
To make damage simpler to display, all HP and damage will be multiplied by 10. The effect of Repair Kit and Mines has also been multiplied by 10 to reflect these changes.
Game mode Dictator+Railgun
With this release, we’ll be officially supporting the Dictator and Rail format. You’ll be able to create these special format battles from the battle creation screen.
For this format, the M3 Railgun will be automatically equipped with a special Alteration that increases its damage and slows down its reload.
Additionally, M2 Dictators will be automatically equipped with a special defense module to make them competitive.
New paints
The release will also include 5 new paints. Two of these new paints will be purchasable from the garage, while the remaining three will be shop-exclusives.
