With tomorrow’s server restart, we’ll be implementing a test version of the Matchmaking System on all EU servers.

The test is intended to run for 48 hours, till 02:00 UTC on Thursday 10th. However, developers might decide to end the test earlier if it causes any kind of undesirable effect on the game.

The reason the test is being run on the main EU servers instead of just the test server, is that we would like to see how it performs with a real server load and player distribution, rather than in the controlled environment of a test server.

P.S. The test will be carried out exclusively on EU servers, and will not be run on US servers.

We selected a few of the email addresses that you sent us via the special form in the previous announcement. Owners of Google Play accounts that are linked to these email addresses have now become beta testers of our game client. Now they can update the app and try the new HTML5 client.

What you need to do:

1. Open Google Play on your device and search «Tanki Online». Choose our app and press the «Update» button.
2. If you do not see the «Update» button, open your device settings. Choose «Apps» and find «Google Play Store» there. Open the «Data» section and press the «Clear data» and «Clear cache» buttons. Once you’ve done that, repeat the actions in step one.
3. If you still do not see the «Update» button after following steps one and two, you are not in the list of beta testers.

Soon we will start sending invites to your emails. Accept the invite to become a beta tester of our app, and after that, you will be able to update the game to the beta version.

As you know, yesterday we were forced to take the PRO Battles feature offline due to issues with lag.

Although we’ve made good progress, the problem is not yet fully resolved. However the situation appears to be more stable, so we’ll be attempting to bring pro battles back online with tomorrow’s server restart.

However, this will be a test. We will observe the results, and decide whether to keep them online or take them offline again for further fixes.

Tomorrow, September 19th game servers will be undergoing extended maintenance from 02:00 UTC till 04:00 UTC, and the game will be unavailable for play. Additionally, the maintenance may affect the Forum, which can be shortly inaccessible during the time period. The extended maintenance is necessary for latest database updates and will be finished as soon as possible.

The restart is required to ensure Matchmaking is working properly and to fix the most urgent issues.

The new Magnum artillery turret will be hitting the game after tomorrow’s scheduled server maintenance. To celebrate, we’ll be giving away 7 fully micro-upgraded Magnum turrets, Protection Modules, and loads of Gold Boxes.

Here’s how you can enter the giveaway:

Every day, from 21:00 UTC on Wednesday 22nd March, till 20:59 UTC on Wednesday 29th March, we’ll be compiling a list of those players who have made a minimum of 250 kills, 500 kills, and 1000 kills during that day. For their skill and dedication in hitting these kill tiers, players will receive the following reward:

• Kill Tier 1: 250 kills – 3 Gold Boxes*
• Kill Tier 2: 500 kills – 5 Gold Boxes*
• Kill Tier 3: 1000 kills – 10 Gold Boxes + the «Griffon T-F» Protection Module (resistance against Magnum, Shaft, Striker)

But more importantly, every day we will randomly pick one tanker from the list of players who have made more than 500 kills. This lucky tanker will receive the new Magnum turret, fully micro-upgraded at his/her level!

The nicknames of the lucky winners of the Magnum turret will be announced daily. We’ll also be announcing the number of tankers who have hit each reward tier.

Terms and Conditions

• Gold Boxes will only be awarded to players ranked Warrant Officer 1 or higher during the giveaway.
• Players who hit Kill Tier 3 (1000+ kills in a day) but do not have the required minimum rank for the «Griffon T-F» Protection Module, will instead receive 5000 crystals, which is the price in crystals for the module’s M0 modification
• The rewards for each tier do not add up. Therefore, players will be able to get a maximum of 10 Gold Boxes throughout the giveaway.
• You can only receive the reward for each tier once during the 7 days. Hitting the same tier on multiple days will not bring you additional tier rewards BUT will increase your chances of getting the turret if you’re making more than 500 kills.
• You can only receive the Magnum turret once.
• You can only receive the «Griffon T-F» Protection Module (or the equivalent price in crystals) once.
• The kills must be made in regular, non-PRO battles joined by pressing the «Battle» button, or in non-PRO battles picked from the battle list. Kills in PRO Battles will NOT count.
• Kills will be counted from 21:00 UTC till 20:59 UTC the next day.
• Magnum turrets will be added every day, after the previous day’s scores have been calculated.
• «Griffon T-F» Protection Modules (or 5000 crystals for those players whose rank is too low for the module) will be added at the end of the giveaway.
• Gold Boxes will be added at the end of the giveaway.
• Magnum turret winners will be drawn randomly from the previous day’s qualifying players, using a random number generator.
• If you win the Magnum turret but already have it in your inventory, your Magnum will be fully micro-upgraded, and you will receive a refund for the crystals you spent on the turret.
• Players who have already been picked in this giveaway and received the Magnum (or equivalent), will be not be able to be picked again for the duration of the event.

Extended rent for Alterations

The price for renting Alterations is still the same BUT, instead of getting them for two days, you’ll be getting them for SEVEN days! That means you’ll be able to test an Alteration for a full week before you decide whether you want to invest your hard-earned crystals in it or not.

New Paints

Two new paints are waiting for you in the shop. Give your tank a hot new look (or two) with the cool new paints called Domino and Watercolor.

Daily missions available for a wider rank bracket

The “Earn experience on [map]” missions are now available for a wider bracket of ranks. This means you’ll be getting experience missions that weren’t available to you before, bringing you even more variety.
