Hey Tankmen!Welcome to the first edition of this new column, a weekly summary of all the cybersport events that have taken place in the past week in Tanki Online, namely, the final game of the clan championship, the Consultant’s battle and the Plasma Fights.

Let’s jump straight in, right to what I consider the most important cybersport event of the past week – the final game of the clan championship. At this point last week, Dare Devils had already won the clan championship, and bagged an impressive 150,000 crystals to go with it, but second place was still up for grabs. In an exciting battle, which ended in a 3-2 victory, Georgian Clan Crusaders prevailed and beat Try To Stop. Try To Stop won the first game, but GCC won the next two to give themselves a 2-1 lead in the CP battle in Kungur. However, Try To Stop pushed the game into a decider, levelling the score at 2-2, in the next game. They took an early lead in the fifth as well, and looked likely to be wrenching second place away from the Georgian clan. Their lead with 6 minutes to go was 30 points, a seemingly unassailable lead. But GCC came back, taking over four of the five points on the map, taking the lead with only forty seconds remaining. They held on to take victory. With their triumph, they took the extra 50,000 crystals provided to the second-placed clan. If you have not seen the thrilling battle yet, I would certainly recommend you to go to the livestream channel and watch the game under the category “Clan Championship”. It’s well-worth it.

Also this week was the battle that everyone was waiting for, the Consultant’s battle. It was a three-way battle in Sandbox, with all three players using smoky wasp and their own supporter’s paint. In the end, the battle was not very tight, with KALASH86RUS being the prevailing consultant by quite a fair margin over S-N-E-G and Goliaffffffff. I’m glad to say that I picked the right winner, and won myself an extra 800 crystals as a result. Surprisingly, Kalash only had 1/6th of the support – most people either went for SNEG or Goliaff. Who was your choice? The following is a picture of the result of the battle; you can watch the fight again on the livestream channel if you want.

Elsewhere this week, there was the Plasma Fights, the Ricochet and Twins dueling competition. The final was between current Dare Devils’ member wertweuri, who is also a consultant, and ex-Dare Devils’ member CRAZIER. Both of them chose to use Ricochet, obviously, and Viking.  The final battle can be found on the cybersport channel as well, and it was played in the map Sandal. In a close-fought battle, the score was more or less equal until right at the end, when CRAZIER went 8-6 up. Wertweuri got a kill back right at the death, but the final score was still 8-7 to CRAZIER, who took the crown of Plasma Fights champion, as well as the 10,000 crystal prize which that included. Wertweuri bagged himself 8,000 for coming second, and the semi-finalists, Reiki12345 and SuperNick95, got 5,000. The four quarter-finalists also got 2,500 each.

Also this week were the final Wolf Battles. There will be no more wolf battles after this week, these great battles are now discontinued. 🙁 In the actual wolf battles themselves this week, I am told that the “lightning round” wolf battle point was used for one of the first times. But there will now be no more lightning rounds, no more wolf avatars…. no more wolf battles.

So, that’s all from me. Catch up with me next week, when I will have a whole new round of updates from the cybersport which will take place in this upcoming week.

Over and out!
